Guidelines for Objective Lot Matching (OMLs)

Objective Lot Matching is a service provided by AWTA Ltd for the matching and combining of classed grower lots according to objective measurements for Yield, Vegetable Matter Base percentage (VMB%) and Mean Fibre Diameter (MFD).  Specific tolerances govern this process and lot matching requests must meet these criteria before an OML Test Certificate can be produced.

A Fact Sheet is available which provides a detailed summary of the rules governing Objectively Matched Lots (OMLs) and our service.  This includes;

  • The permissible Yield, VMB, MFD ranges and lot size restrictions;
  • Which IWTO Test Certificate types can be included in OMLs;
  • How the process incorporates additional Length/Strength and/or Colour certificates;
  • The applicable rules governing Grower Wool "P" OMLs and Interlot "N" OMLs
  • How Dark and Medullated Fibre Risk (DMFR) scheme and Mulesing Status declarations are incorporated on OML Test Certificates; and
  • How to request OML Test Certificates from AWTA Ltd.
