European Union (EU) Eco-Label screening

A key component of AWTA's Pesticide Residue Analysis service is the reporting of EU Eco-Label status.  Aside from identifying specific residual chemicals, we determine if their concentrations comply with the Eco-Labelling standards for wool exports into the European Union. 

The table below shows the current list of EU restricted chemicals along with their allowed concentrations. 

The European Union Commission meets every three years to review these standards.  A copy of the latest EU Commission rulings in relation to chemical residue limits for raw wool commodities can be found at:

The Australian Pesticide and Veterinary Medicine Authority (APVMA) maintain a register of all commercial sheep treatment products and their active chemicals.  To check if a particular commercial product is on the above list, click here to see our  APVMA page on this website
