The monthly comparisons of Total Lots, Bales and Weight tested for February 2024 compared with the same period last season are:
-13.6%, -12.3% and -11.8% respectively.
The progressive comparison of Total Lots, Bales and Weight tested for July 2023 to February 2024 compared with the same period last season are:
-0.9%, +0.6% and -0.1% respectively.
Readers should note that significant quantities of wool produced in NSW and Qld were shipped to Victoria for sampling and warehousing during February 2024 and are therefore reported in the Victorian data. The decline in the volume of wool sampled (tested) in NSW and Qld during February 2024 should not be entirely attributed to a decline in wool production in those states.
AWTA Ltd has tested 222.6 mkg (million kilograms) this season compared with 221.5 mkg for the equivalent period last season.
