APPLICATION

:

The method is applicable to textile fabric in all forms.

PRINCIPLE

:

The fabric piece or specimen is laid out flat,free from appiled tension, allowed to come to equilibrium with a standard atmosphere for testing and the width measured.

SAMPLES REQUIRED FOR TESTING

:

The sample can be in roll form or in the piece.

INTERPRETATION

:

Compare with the nominal or involved value of fabric width. Tolerance on width is usually ±5%.
