Wool Production by Wool Statistical Area
Year-on Year Comparison by State and WSA
The following chart shows the tested wool production by each State for the 2009/10 and 2010/11 seasons across each Wool Statistical Area (WSA). The trend lines show the production reported by AWTA's Key Test Data for the same period. Though the overall totals are consistent, there are slight differences in the figures of each State; due mainly to:
- WSA information not being provided by the seller; and
- The handling and marketing approaches of sellers, whereby wool grown in one area is transported for storage and sale in another State.

State based WSA Production figures:
Provided below are graphics depicting the tested wool production within each state by WSA for the last two full seasons. Bar charts are used to show the relative changes in wool production in each area between the last two full seasons. The weight of Bulk Classed (BC) and Interlotted (IL) wool is also shown. Quantities reported as Not Available (NA) represent wool sold without a WSA declared.
