AWTA Ltd Introduces a new service for Pesticide Residue Analysis

AWTA Ltd has entered into an agreement with the CSIRO’s Textile and Fibre Technology division in Geelong to provide a new Pesticide Residue Analysis service.  The collaboration involves CSIRO conducting chemical residue analysis in their Belmont Laboratory on AWTA ‘s behalf.

This method is only applicable to blended core samples of greasy wool taken under the standard Presale Core Testing schedule. Pesticide Residue samples are therefore taken at one of our Raw Wool Laboratories, then sent to CSIRO TFT for testing.  Completed results are then returned to AWTA Ltd’s Melbourne Laboratory and issued as AWTA Ltd Guidance Test Reports under the IWTO Draft Test Method 59-04.
