Finest Bale of Wool Offered at Auction

The finest bale of wool ever sold at auction went under the hammer in Sydney on 26 June 2008. The 92 Kg bale of 11.6 Micron wool, offered by Landmark Pty Ltd on behalf Hillcreston Pinehill Partnership, sold for 269,000 cents/kg greasy, or AU$247,480.

The wool was purchased by Lempriere Australia Pty Ltd on account of Raymonds Ltd, India.
