What is WoolProducers?
WoolProducers, the peak agri-political body for wool producers in Australia, was formed in July 2001. WoolProducers replaced the old Wool Council of Australia, which no longer exists. WoolProducers represent some 14,000 wool producers from across Australia and aims to provide a strong, unified voice that enables wool producers to determine and drive change in their industry.
WoolProducers consist of an Executive of 11, all of whom are elected. Six are elected by postal ballot of all grower members conducted by the AEC. The remaining 5 are elected by grower members through their membership of State Farm organisations (ie.1 member from each State organisation).
WoolProducers is a national organisation that represents the concerns and hopes of its wool producer members and works on their behalf. It has a vision for the industry of:
- Proud and profitable wool producers

It provides a strong, unified voice that enables wool producers to determine and drive change in their industry. WoolProducers aims to be a unifying force to protect and promote the commercial and social interests of wool producers. WoolProducers membership is open to all wool levy payers and by providing a national forum, the views of Australian wool producers can be determined and progressed
