Testing Fees

AWTA Ltd publishes testing fees each financial year as soon as possible after they are approved in May/June by the Board.

Separate fees lists are provided for Raw Wool and for Textile Testing. Fees are usually set to ensure that the Company will have sufficient capital to maintain the investment levels in new plant and equipment necessary to minimise costs, while at the same time maintaining the levels of service and accuracy that the wool industy requires. However, some years ago the Directors adopted a strategy to use surplus funds accumulated during the 1988-91 years of peak wool production to contain costs to customers by budgeting for controllable losses. This strategy is still in effect.
