AWTA Ltd Services > For fleece testing, what is the best place on the sheep to take a sample of wool?

For fleece testing, what is the best place on the sheep to take a sample of wool?

The key to taking samples for fleece measurement testing is that the same sampling position is selected on each animal

The mid-side is the recommended sampling location.  However, other parts of the fleece may also be sampled.  Such variations from the recommended location should only be considered on the basis of appropriate advice or appropriate experience.
