Who Owns AWTA Ltd?

AWTA Ltd is effectively owned by the wool industry. Each sector of the wool industry appoints a director to AWTA Ltd's Board.

AWTA Ltd is a Company Limited by Guarantee. The Member/Guarantors constituting the Company are:

• Australian Council of Wool Exporters Inc. (ACWE);
• Australian Wool Processors Council Inc. (AWPC);

o        Wool Scourers & Carbonisers Of Australia Group

o        Wool Textile Manufacturers of Australia Group

• Private Treaty Wool Merchants Association Inc. (PTWMA);
• The National Council of Wool Selling Brokers of Australia Ltd (NCWSBA);
• WoolProducers, and;
• Australian Wool Research & Promotion Organisation (AWRAP).

Importantly, they represent the client base of AWTA Ltd in such a way that there is a balance of buying and selling interests that ensure that AWTA Ltd remains, and is seen to remain independent of the sales transactions.
