What say to woolgrowers have in the day-to-day running of AWTA Ltd?

Woolgrowers, through WoolProducers, appoint a director to AWTA Ltd's Board.

The Board does not manage the Company in its day-to-day operations. This is the role of the Management.

Directors can input the views of their particular industry sector. However, all directors have a legal obligation to act according to the strict requirements for company directors defined in Corporations Law. Among other things this means that they must act primarily in the interests of the Company, not necessarily in the interests of their particular industry sectors. In many instances these interest will coincide, but there will also be instances where they will not.

The Management and staff of AWTA Ltd are required by Company Policy to listen to the clients and expeditiously address their concerns. Wool growers are a most important client group, and all relevant AWTA Ltd staff are aware of this.
