Background Information
Peter has a Bachelor of Business Studies (Accounting) from Deakin University and has been CPA qualified since 1993. He is also a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Peter's career in the Wool Industry commenced in 1988 with ConAgra Wool Pty Ltd (and its predecessor Elders International Wool Pty Ltd) fulfilling a number of various roles within the Accounting and Administration Department.
Prior to joining AWTA in May 2004 he was Chief Financial Officer/Company Secretary of BWK Holdings Pty Ltd including 7 years as Financial Controller/Company Secretary of Geelong Wool Combing Ltd.
Peter has direct responsibility for the planning and control of the Financial and Administration functions to enable AWTA Ltd to achieve its corporate objectives.
He reports to the Managing Director.
Accountabilities
The Chief Financial Officer is accountable for the planning and control of the financial and administration functions to enable AWTA Ltd to meet its objectives efficiently.
In the role of Principal Accounting Officer and Public Officer for taxation purposes, he is accountable for meeting the requirements of the relevant Acts of Parliament.
